I’ve always liked Third Day. I grew up listening to music from Christian bands, and although a lot are a little too fluffy I have always liked Third Day.

Shame they’re on their farewe ll tour. I saw Mac Powell do a solo gig last year and he’s worth checking out on his own. He did a lot of country & gospel stuff - just a really good performance.

I like a lot of stuff on K-Love like this, but I’m a total metal-head, so I recently went a little crazy looking for Christian metal. Was amazed at the good stuff out there! Disciple, War of Ages, Fit For a King, August Burns Red, Wolves at The Gate, the list is HUGE. Lots o f killer Christian rap out there too...

Wow, thanks for the tips...I used to listen to a lot of metal, so I’m always looking for new stuff. I’m also surprised how many great rappers are out there in the CCM world. Christian music on the whole used to be always second-tier to most mainstream/
secular stuff, or at least slow to catch up in terms of songwriting and production values, but the gap has shrunk considerably.
